Computer Perspective Programmer System
Computer Systems: A Programmer's Perspective by Randal E. Bryant, X This book explains the important and enduring concepts underlying all computer systems and shows the concrete ways that these ideas affect the correctness, performance, and utility of application programs. The book's concrete and hands-on approach will help readers understand what is going on "under the hood" of a computer system.
A Small Matter of Programming: Perspectives on End User Computing by Bonnie A. Nardi, A Small Matter of Programming asks why it has been so difficult for end users to command programming power and explores the problems of end-user-driven application development that must be solved to afford end users greater computational power. Drawing on empirical research on existing end user systems, the book analyzes cognitive, social, and technical issues of end user programming. In particular, it examines the importance of task-specific programming languages, visual application frameworks, and collaborative work practices for end user computing with the goal of helping the designers and programmers understand and better satisfy the needs of end users who want the capability to create, customize, and extend their applications software. The ideas in the book are based on the author's research on two successful end user programming systems - spreadsheets and CAD systems - as well as other empirical research. Nardi concentrates on broad issues in end user programming, especially end users' strengths and problems, introducing tools and techniques as they are related to higher-level user issues.
Ron Newman (computer programmer) - Ron Newman is a computer programmer. He is most famous for his work in the early development of the X Window System, from X6 in 1985 to X11R2 in 1988. Macintosh Programmer's Workshop - Macintosh Programmer's Workshop or MPW, is a software development environment for the Classic Mac OS, written by Apple Computer. For Macintosh developers, it was one of the primary tools for building applications for System 7. Open system (computing) - Open systems are computer systems that provide either interoperability, portability, or freedom from proprietary standards, depending on user's perspective. Computer system - A computer system consists of a set of hardware and software which processes data in a meaningful way. The personal computer or PC exemplifies a relatively simple computer system.
